Oocyte Numbers by Female Age-Human

As the above figure demonstrates fertility decreases about age 31 and then dramatically after age 37.  This is due to decreasing numbers of viable oocytes (eggs).

The above graph shows that oocytes from older women have a lower chance of becoming a viable embryo.
